This dataset is typically updated on an annual basis by the Kansas Biological Survey and Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism. Data is provided by KDWPT's Aquatic Nuisance Species Coordinator is provided to KBS for updates. The National Hydrography Database (NHD) is used as source data to identify streams, rivers and waterbodies. Linear features are extracted and buffered to create a polygon feature that can then be merged with water bodies with the goal to provide one feature layer of aquatic nuisance species for the state. </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Last updated: September 19, 2018</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV> |
